Updating Forms & Webpages

Within the BOD pages click on Updates, this page lists all the forms and web pages that have not been updated thus far. Each document listed opens as a word doc. following the instructions at the top, make your changes and email to Becki.

This new method was used last year when updating the youth pages, while it took a little longer for her to make the changes, it cut my updating time in half. Especially on the webpages.

How to add an event in the Calendar

To access the Calendar go to the calendar page, click on +googlecalendar icon in the bottom right corner, when the login screen comes up the email is neleboard@northeastlivestockexpo.com, the password is nelexpo2007. Everyone can use this login. Then just click on the month view, click on the date you want to add an event, a pop up screen will appear where you can type your event. To add other options click on “edit event details”. Then click save. Everyone should get a notification of a new event. (if they don’t let me know)

How to post a message on NELE News

Hi Everyone, each board member has a username and password, which has been emailed to you. Login (located on right sidebar) using your username and password, once you are logged in click on your name (located in the upper left corner of the screen) this opens a dropdown menu, select Dashboard.

The Dashboard is the page that shows how many posts, comments, etc. that you have made. There is a “quick post” on the right, but we’ll use the Add New, from the Posts dropdown menu on the left. This opens a new page which looks similar an email page with options to enhance type.

It also includes a list of Categories on the lower right side of the screen. Choose a category based on the message you are posting, it is important to choose a category as messages are grouped together for easy viewing by these categories, if no category is selected the message gets posted in uncategorized and may not be seen by those only looking to see posts in one specific category.

Once you have typed your message and selected a category, click publish to post your message on NELE News.

Now everyone can see your message and make comments by clicking on comment at the bottom of the post.

You do not have to be logged in to read posts and comments, however you can not post or write comments unless you login.

You can access your user profile from the dashboard, where you can edit information about yourself, change your password and other things.

Another way to access your dashboard and profile page, is located on the right sidebar under Welcome _____ (where the login was). If you want to go directly to Add New Post, click on Add New on the upper left of the screen, select post from the dropdown menu.
