In 2024, Northeast Livestock Expo (NELE) held its ninth Kids Day for over 3,000 school children in grades K-6. Students, chaperones and teachers participated in self-guided tours among multiple agricultural stations on the grounds. This annual event is held on Friday from 930 am to 130 pm, giving children the opportunity to see and learn about a variety of livestock and agricultural commodities, often with hands-on interaction.

Kids Day offers over thirty educational areas for teachers, students and parents to visit and connect with agriculture. Stations included draft horses, oxen, rabbits, beef and dairy cattle, Boer goats, pigs, Nigerian dwarf goats and alpaca, steers with anatomy illustrations, tractors, aquaculture demonstrations, and types of feed for livestock. The Windsor Historical Society gives tours of the Old Schoolhouse and the Blacksmith Shop.

We are very excited about the 2025 Kids Day, which will feature a similar variety of opportunities.

TEACHERS: Please complete the registration form as soon as possible. Funding for transportation is limited, and buses will be provided on a first-come, first serve basis.
